We have clearly defined goals that we pursue for every level of education. In General:
To provide a solid base of experiences that are essential for later learning,
To facilitate a strong sense of self-esteem, increase the student's capacity for self-discipline, and
To foster an excitement and curiosity for learning.
Since our mission is on the development of the whole child, we integrate values within the academic framework and strive to help students develop respect for themselves and for others. Small classes allow for differentiated instruction according to the needs of the child.
At Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic School, our Elementary School program lays the foundation for a lifetime of learning and growth. From Junior Kindergarten through 5th Grade, we nurture young minds in a supportive, faith-based environment that encourages academic excellence, critical thinking, and personal development.
Our Elementary School curriculum is thoughtfully designed to challenge and inspire students at every level. We believe in fostering a love for learning that extends beyond the classroom, preparing our students not just for academic success, but for life.

Religion, Computer Skills, Art, and library visits are regular components of the Kindergarten schedule, as is Physical Education. This comprehensive approach ensures a strong start to our students' academic journey.
In Grades 1-5, our curriculum is designed to develop well-rounded, responsible students. Our approach includes:
As students progress through these grades, they are given opportunities for increasingly complex responsibilities. For example, 5th Grade students organize and implement the Annual Reading is Fundamental (RIF) Program for the lower grades.
Assessment is a key part of our educational approach. The Iowa Test of Basic Skills, administered annually, consistently shows our students performing at or above the average national percentile level in their subject areas.
Our goal is to provide a strong academic foundation while nurturing critical thinking, creativity, and personal growth in each student.
